Xie came to St. Louis University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri in 1989 as an exchange scholar from the People’s Republic of China. He earned a LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) and LL.M. (Master of Laws) in China and he was pursuing his Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) when he came to the U.S. Mr. Xie obtained a Master degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from University of Missouri-St. Louis after he completed the program at St. Louis University School of Law. Even with the multiple degrees he earned in China and in the U.S., he was not fortunate enough to find a good job that fit his qualifications. Then he became a branch manager for a national computer distributor and stayed in that position for several years, before deciding to go back to law school. Mr. Xie became an Assistant Counsel with Georgia Department of Corrections after he earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Georgia State University College of Law. Being an immigrant himself, Mr. Xie has personally gone through the whole immigration process, from obtaining the green card to becoming a United States citizen.
