I just arrived in the US with B-2 visa. I do not want to go back. Can I go to school? Thanks!

You need to get admitted to a school first and then apply for change of status from B to F-1.

Just add a note: your application for changing to F-1 status must be filed before your authorized stay for your visitor's visa expires. However the application cannot be filed too early either.
